自1864年第一版起，已出至第14版?，F(xiàn)行版為1988年版。該藥典從1980年版起改為兩卷本。第一卷收載緒論，通則和原料藥品以及紅外對照圖譜等；第二卷收載各類藥品制劑、血液制品、免疫制品、放射性藥品、手術(shù)用品以及附錄和索引等。1988年版收載各類藥品2100種,其中有495種為《歐洲藥典》已收載的品種。

The British Pharmacopoeia 2011

The British Pharmacopoeia (BP) is the official collection of standards for UK medicinal products and pharmaceutical substances.
